You ARE paying me to think

There used to be a saying, "we're not paying you to think" that corporations would use to keep their workers down. But, my brother was saying to me tonight that as Knowledge Workers, they actually are paying us to think. Which is why it is very disturbing when managers and corporations seem to make it as difficult as possible for us to actually think while doing our jobs.
